‘I can’t promise to fix all your problems but I can promise you won’t have to face them alone.’ (unknown)

You probably wonder who I am and if I am able to help you with whatever brings you here?

Since a young age, I have had a genuine interest in the welfare of others and have found that listening to people not only helped them but increased my own awareness on so many levels. I grew up in Poland where my own thinking and feelings were influenced by many social rules and therefore it was never easy for me to ‘be myself’. But I was always a curious person which helped me to stay open and learn from others and their experience. This resulted in getting a Master Degree in Social Rehabilitation Education before moving to the UK where I was able to follow my dream of being a therapist and I have acquired a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counselling at the prestigious Metanoia Institute in London.

Moving away from the country I grew up in gave me a capability of understanding how it feels to leave a family behind, to set up a new life in a place with different rules and expectations and what a process of adaptation means.

Everyone has their unique experiences but behind them all, the common feelings of stress and worry, lack of self-esteem and confidence, loneliness and fear of unknown are hiding. The people I have met and worked with helped me to explore and expand my knowledge about relationships and related trust issues, various anxieties we need to deal with, angry feelings and behaviours we sometimes don’t understand and a loss of important things and our loved ones.

It all added to my own life experience and encouraged me to continue trying to help others. I also know what being depressed feels like and how difficult it might be to overcome traumatic events in our life and especially those which have occurred at an early age.

I work relationally which means that my clients and I are equal and can form a relationship where nobody is perfect but can learn from each other.

Instead of giving you advice, I offer a guidance and safe environment to help you in understanding the processes within you and in the search for answers to the questions you might have. I offer you a safe, secure and confidential therapeutic environment free from judgement and prejudice and based on trust and acceptance.

Living in a diverse environment gave me a deeper understanding of how important it is to look at each person as an individual and to leave our prejudices aside. I enjoy my work because I believe that, as human beings, we are in need of the other to feel satisfied. It is therefore important to be able to interact with each other and with ourselves in the best way we can and a therapeutic relationship can aid this.
